About the Artist

Finding meaning in the familiar.

I'm Lindsey Croall, a self-taught artist born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. My practice began as a way to slow down, reconnect with myself, and make room for creativity during the early years of motherhood. What began as a personal form of meditation grew into a lasting artistic practice.

I'm interested in the relationship between place and memory, and in the ways that ordinary spaces become extraordinary through the lives lived within them. A kitchen can hold generations of care. A familiar stretch of water can evoke a feeling that is difficult to name. A small neighborhood view can become part of the story of home.

My paintings explore these connections through color, texture, atmosphere, and the particular character of each subject. Whether I'm working from a landscape, a still life, or a beloved local place, I hope to create work that invites a closer look and leaves room for the viewer's own memories and associations.
